(Everything we own is Jesus Christ’s…our money, our material possessions, and the Bible says one day God is going to do a giant heavenly audit on your life and my life. He’s going to see did Ed Young squander his money? Did Ed Young spend it foolishly? Did he invest it wisely? Did he tithe to the local church? How did I use my money? “I shouldn’t have said that, not my money, God, it’s your money. I’m just a steward. I’m just a manager of it”; and time is the same way.
It’s not your time. It’s not my time. It is God’s time. It’s a gift from Him and He’s also going to check and see how wisely we invested our time. Some people just live in the past. They’re always looking at the past. I call them the letterman jacket)people. “You know back in high school when they had the letterman jacket, when I was in the band or back in the junior high, those were the good old days”. Or people are futuristic, ‘Who cares about today? Look in the future.
Wow! Look way ahead out there. I cannot believe what will happen”. Live today. Take care of business now. Make the most use of your time. It’s critical. We’re only here for a short while. And speaking of a short while, as I was preparing for this message, I was sitting in my office studying, I had a green T-shirt on and I look down and I see a gray hair on my T-shirt. I’m thinking, “I’m really getting old”, and then I thought, “You know, we’re here just for a short time” and I picked the gray hair up, “Wow, Ed! You’re losing gray hair.
